Pam Lowry, RN has been involved with allergy for over 40 years. She initially worked with Dr. James W. Willoughby, MD in Kansas City, MO for 15 years, caring for allergy patients who were treatment failures from around the country.
For the last 23 years Pam has been offering allergy training and consulting services. She is one of the few Trainers in the country who actively worked in an allergy clinic and has hands-on experience with patients. In addition to the hands-on work, Pam attends allergy training conferences every year to stay current and up-to-date with what is being taught. Attending these conferences gives Pam a unique perspective that she can train current protocols being taught by both Allergists and ENT Allergists. Some of the conferences attended are:
- American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy – AAOA
- American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology – AAAAI
Teaching staff members the 8 to 5 job functions of an allergy department is Pam’s specialty. After 2 days of on-site setup and training, offices are 100% ready to test and treat allergy patients. The following techniques and protocols are covered over the course of 2 days:
- Prick/Puncture Testing
- Modified Quantitative Testing (MQT)
- Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT)
- In-vitro Testing (RAST/ImmunoCAP)
